7/20/04 M27 The Dumbbell Nebula
A beautiful, bright and large planetary nebula in the Summer constellation of Vulpecula. On this night it was very hot, humid and hazy, but the air was steady. I decided to go unbinned so the full resolution image is large. My computer is slow and it took forever to process these big unbinned images. Some signs of lateral star movement signifying tracking issues. I'm wrestling with a large and fast jump in my tracking. I'm going to retrain PEC to see if I can smooth it out a bit. I'm also toying with the idea of opening the scope up and checking out the worm and RA wheel. The top image is binned 2x2, the bottom is the full res image.
